           A few years ago, I was suffering and in pain, and life wasn’t quite working out for me. I felt bored, alone, stuck, and restless, and deeply yearned for more.

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           All of that shifted for me when I stopped giving my power away and began looking deep into my soul from a place of love and compassion without judgment. This energy shift led me to a journey of self-awareness, self-acceptance, and self-discovery, which helped me to deeply connect to my most true and authentic self. I now feel connected, supported, empowered, and free, and I am on a mission to help others feel the same.

           I have been professionally coaching for two and a half years now.

           My coaching style has evolved over the years as I continue to do the inner work of peeling the layers and owning my power. Over the last two and a half years, I realized that the deeper I go with myself, the deeper I can go with the people I serve. This realization has allowed me to experience more profound and faster transformations within myself and with my clients.

           As an individual, what sets me apart from others is the values that run this mission. My mottos are unconditional love, compassion, authenticity, honesty, integrity, and fun!

           I attribute my success to my ability to show up vulnerably, authentically, and consistently which has allowed my audience to connect to my true and genuine intentions enabling me to serve and make a difference.

           The most satisfying moments in my coaching mission have been and will always be the transformations I experience with my clients. Watching my clients shift perspective and step fully into their power has got to be one of the most empowering and magical experiences of my life.

           When I am not at work, I love to listen to music, dance, sing, read, eat, travel, work out, watch my kids play and have fun, spend time with my family and friends and go to the beach. The beach is my favorite place in the world. I was probably a mermaid in my previous life! I also believe in giving back to society and, as part of that belief, feel strongly about mental health and the success of love and relationships.

      <title>6 WAYS TO RAISE YOUR FREQUENCY</title>

           We are all energetic beings. And when you can raise your frequency, it helps elevate your mood, which in turn allows you to attract the things you want in a way that feels easy and effortless. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           It’s easy to tell when your frequency is high or low by checking on the emotions you’re experiencing at the moment. Love, peace, joy, and gratitude are high-level frequencies, while guilt, shame, fear, anger, or anything that makes you feel “off” are lower-level frequencies.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           It always feels better when you’re living with high-frequency energy. But how can you elevate your frequency when you aren’t feeling so great? Check out six of my favorite tips for raising your frequency.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           1. Strengthen your awareness.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           The more you understand yourself, the easier it is to know when you need to take a moment to raise your frequency as well as which techniques you prefer to use. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           In order to know if your frequency could use a boost, it’s essential to check in with yourself. To start, you can set the alarm on your phone, and when it goes off, just ask yourself how you feel. Observe whatever pops up without judgment, and start asking why a specific emotion is showing up for you.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           2. Try some breathwork.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Suppose you find your mind racing and intense emotions rolling in. Pause and focus on your breath. When you can slow your breathing, it also slows down your mind. It’s easier to get out of fight or flight mode and move into your heart space, where you are more in touch with your soul. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Breathwork can be as easy as just closing your eyes. When we work on breathwork, we are seated. You can sit in a chair or lie on the floor. Place one hand on your heart and the other on your belly. By placing your hand on your heart, you are physically connected to your heart space and settling into the present moment. With the other hand on your belly, you can feel your breaths from the outside.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           I like breathwork because it’s simple yet effective and can take as little or as much time as you want. You can count your breaths if that helps you focus. Usually, when I do this, six breaths will get me to where I need to be. It depends on the situation that I'm dealing with. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           3. Meditate.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           I know you hear this one a lot. But it’s worth repeating because the benefits of meditation are just amazing. So I'm going to preach it like everybody else - if you're not meditating, you need to try it!
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           There is a misconception that if you think while meditating, you're doing it wrong. And that's not true at all. You're always going to think. The reason for meditating is to bring awareness to those thoughts so that you can determine whether they are serving you anymore and replace them with your truth, which helps you manifest what you want from life more effectively.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           If you're a beginner at mediation, start with guided meditations. You can find them on YouTube, and there are several apps out there that you can try. I like guided meditations for my clients who are just starting because it helps give you a focus other than trying not to think.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Then try it on your own when you’re ready. Start for five minutes each day for a week. If you've gotten good at that, work your way up to 15 minutes.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           4. Practice gratitude.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           I love working with clients on gratitude. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           If we practice gratitude in our life every day it really shifts everything around for you. I think when you're grateful for things in your life you attract even more to be grateful for.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           I live my life by gratitude. And I do it without judgment. When things show up in my life that I don’t necessarily perceive as something that I want, I can use my awareness to sit down and try to find the opportunity in the situation. Then I can reframe it and be grateful because it’s only pointing out something about me that I can learn and grow from. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;a href="https://youtu.be/4IepRrBUYkM" target="_blank"&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
        
            Practicing gratitude by journaling
           &#xD;
      &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/a&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            has helped me and many of my clients. Once you begin writing you'll start flowing and even finding more and more things to write about to be grateful for. You may write about things and at first you think it's a huge challenge. But then you can look back and realize that it was an event that led you to something beautiful. 
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           5. Visualize.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Did you know that 95% of our thoughts come from our subconscious and only 5% are conscious? So let’s create mental pictures of how you want to live your life and give your subconscious something amazing to focus on!
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Think of anything that you're calling into your life, and make a little movie in your mind about it. Show yourself what your day looks like:
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;ul&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Where are you?
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Who is with you?
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            What are you doing?
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            What do you see, hear, taste, feel, and smell?
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/ul&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Take time for it to visualize that every day, the more detailed it is, the better. Even if it's just for a few minutes each day, make it a priority. It really does help ground that vision into your life and into your subconscious mind! 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           6. Explore nature.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           This is my favorite! I love being in nature. I know that some of us live in cold and snowy places. Sometimes we don't want to be outside so much, but you can still experience nature by looking out your window. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           If you can, get outside to ground yourself. I love being barefoot on the grass, leaning against a tree just to feel the energy of Mother Nature. It brings you into the present when you can just simply observe everything. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Looking at clouds, stars, the moon, listening to birds, or the wind rustling through the leaves always leaves me in awe. Everything is in an easy, effortless flow and immediately levels up my frequency.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           Figure out what’s best for you.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           There are so many different ways to raise your frequency, and these six are just a few I found that worked a lot for my clients and for myself. There's no right or wrong here. You’ll know when you find what works for you. I’d love to hear what you do to raise your frequency!

           As human beings, we need love and connection in our relationships with partners, family, and friends. But having healthy boundaries within those relationships is actually the key to keeping them strong without losing yourself and depleting your energy. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           Co-dependency isn’t romantic.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           We’ve seen it on television and in movies. The princess is waiting to fall head over heels for the prince who rescues her from her mundane life. Jerry Macguire has that famous line, “you complete me.” Even Romeo and Juliet's tragedy romanticizes the idea that suicide is the better choice when losing the one you love. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           But that isn’t how we’re made. You aren’t meant to walk around as half of who you are, seeking out another person who will fill in your gaps and make you feel whole again.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           When you put in the work to be fully who you are and fall in love with yourself along the way, you are better equipped to create a relationship with someone who is wholly who they are. Neither of you is looking for someone to fill in gaps. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           In a healthy relationship, both people are individuals whose mutual respect and ability to know themselves and one another create a strong bond. You don’t have to have exactly the same likes and dislikes to be compatible. Each of you being exactly who you are will complement your relationship without the added pressure of trying to be all things for one another.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           Guilt and shame have no place in your decision-making.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Hear me when I say that you are allowed to say no to things without having to over explain (or even give any explanation other than, “I don’t want to”). Consider the following situation.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           You had a long week, and Friday after work, you commit your Saturday to a Netflix binge-fest. But that afternoon, a friend invites you to go out to dinner for a girl's night. A little voice in your head says, “Nope. I want to stay home with my comfy blanket and popcorn.” 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           You start to tell yourself why you should go out. You feel guilty for not wanting to go. You may notice shame popping up, with thoughts like, “She went out to lunch last week when asked. It’s selfish not to do the same for her.”
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           We tend to think that by saying no to a friend, we’ll suddenly lose our connection to them. But the truth is, your friends are your friends because they care about you. In this situation, it’s okay to say that you had a long week and you just want to hang out at home. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           Setting clear boundaries avoids conflict and confusion in the long run.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8qaWFud90Zg" target="_blank"&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
        
            Choosing to set boundaries
           &#xD;
      &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/a&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
            and express them out loud saves time and helps your partner, friends, and family members know where you are coming from without having to try and read your mind or figure out your body language.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Be honest with yourself and others. If there is something that keeps happening that you don’t like, sit down with those involved and have an authentic conversation. If they disagree or continue the unwanted behavior, you know that you did what you could and you then have the choice to decide whether the relationship is sustainable or if you can come together and create a compromise.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Understand there is a difference between creating a healthy compromise and submitting to the will of someone else out of a feeling of obligation. It’s okay to take some time to assess the situation or have a conversation about it with a neutral person.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;

      <title>TAKING YOUR POWER BACK FROM AN UNHEALTHY RELATIONSHIP</title>

           When you are in an unhealthy relationship, it can be hard to take your power back. You may feel like you are walking on eggshells, and that you can't do anything right. Everything is relying on your partner's approval or validation. A lot of times these situations may make you feel like it's your fault or like you deserve this unhealthy treatment. This is not true. You deserve to be treated with respect, and no one has the right to make you feel anything less. In this blog post, we will discuss some ways that you can take your power back and end any unhealthy relationship you might be in.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           Establish Healthy Boundaries
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           One of the best ways to take your power back is to establish healthy boundaries. This means that you set rules for yourself and stick to them. You do not allow the other person to cross these boundaries. If they do, you enforce consequences. For example, if the person calls you late at night, you may choose to not answer the phone. If they show up at your house, you may tell them to leave. By setting healthy boundaries and enforcing them, you are taking back control of your life. You are showing them what behavior is acceptable in your life. There is nothing wrong with standing up for the boundaries you need in any relationship. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           Practice Forgiveness
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Forgiving the person who is on the other end of this unhealthy relationship can be difficult, but it is an important step in taking your power back. Forgiving them does not mean that you are excusing their behavior, but it does mean that you are choosing to let go of the anger and resentment that you feel towards them. This can be liberating and empowering. It also allows you to move on with your life and focus on your own happiness ,no longer making that other person a priority above your own.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
           Accept Responsibility
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           It is easy to blame the other person for everything that is going wrong in your life. However, this does not help you take your power back. In fact, it keeps you stuck in that unhealthy situation. Instead, accept responsibility for your own life. This means that you recognize that you are not a victim, but rather a survivor. You are in control of your own life, and you have the power to make positive changes. You always have the option to choose you. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           Stop Complaining
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Complaining about the other person or the situation that you are in does not help you take your power back. It actually only serves to reinforce your feelings of helplessness and victimization. Instead, focus on what you can do to change the situation. This may be difficult, but it is important if you want to take your power back. Focus on the good, focus on the future, focus on the upcoming change that you are going to make in your life. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           End the Relationship
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           If you have tried all of these steps and you still feel like you are still in an unhealthy or even toxic relationship, then it simply might be time to end the relationship. This may be difficult, but it is the only way to protect yourself from further hurt and catapult your life into happiness. Remember, you deserve to be treated with respect, dignity and to be around others that love and inspire you to be better. You have the power to end this season of the relationship you are in and start a whole new beginning. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;

           These are just a few ways that you can take your power back from any unhealthy relationship. Remember, you are not alone.       <title>5 TECHNIQUES TO STOP BEING A PEOPLE PLEASER</title>

           Nice people are needed in this world. They walk by us with a big smile on their face, they hold our doors open when they are ahead of us and they pick up our napkins when they fall on the floor. We love them and appreciate them. Now lets take a moment to talk about the people that are “too nice”. The people that are constantly bending over backwards to make sure everyone around them is happy. The ones that make a point to never disappoint others and will literally suffer in silence to ensure others are having a great time. These are called “People Pleasers”. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            ﻿
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Sound familiar? If you have found yourself going to an event you really didn’t want to be at or maybe eating things that you really have no liking because it is what others have ordered… then you fall into this category. The good news is that we have put together a list of ways to help you stop this behavior and start to learn to make healthy boundaries of putting yourself first.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Let’s dive in!
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           #1 - Learn to Say No
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           We know this is the main problem. You can’t say “no” but saying “no” is okay. Taking the time to retrain your brain that not making the best decision for you is okay and healthy relationships should encourage you to do so. Her are a few creative ways you can start to say “no” a little bit more easier:
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           - “That was so sweet to think of me, but I already have plans that day.”
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           - “That place seems awesome, but I am really not into that type of event, but I hope you guys have a wonderful time.”
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           - “During the week I am so busy with work, but my weekends are open. Let’s plan something soon.”
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           #2 - Delay Your Response
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Get into the habit of not answering things you would normally say “yes” to right away. Start using, “Let me get back to you on that”. This technique is especially helpful If you have a hard time saying “no” directly to people in the moment. Going forward, ask them to give you time and then respond when you are more comfortable with the response you really want to say.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           We know this strategy sounds great in a perfect world, but we also understand that sometime answers are needed on the spot. In those types of occurrences simply just take an extra 5-10 seconds to stop and think before you respond. People pleaser a lot of times say “yes” out of habit. This slight pause will give your brain time to decide what is best for you. Remember to respond with you in mind, not them!
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           #3 – Stop and Look at Your Relationships
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
           As we mentioned before, when you are a people pleasing you will do anything to make others happy, avoid conflict or uncomfortable feelings. However, if you take a step back and look at the quality of the relationships you have you will realize they aren’t in the best of shape. Do you know why? Because these relationships have been one-sided. They have been all about the other person and how to make them happy, not you. Doing this build animosity, resentment, hurt, anger and more. Looking at the reality of these relationships is a good driving force to start to make the change. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           #4 - Change “Can’t” to “Don’t”
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;

           A lot of times when we do not want to do things, we say it in a nice way by saying “I can’t”. In example, “I can’t” go to that party. Sorry!”. This gives the message to the person who asked you that you really wanted to go but are unable to attend. This opens up lots of room for more uncomfortable situations. Such as additional questions on why you are unable to attend, peer pressure to come anyways and so on. When you are clear and say that you don’t want to do something, you are sending a message to that person about your personal wishes.

      <title>HELPFUL WAYS TO DEAL WITH LOSING A LOVED ONE</title>

           Losing someone you love is hard. It is considered one of the hardest things we must go through in our lifetime. There is no quick fix, remedy or cure to remove the suffering aspect of a loss. Everyone responds differently and identifies coping methods that work best for them. In fact, there is no “normal” amount of time a person should grieve. Grief is a personal journey. However, there are ways that can help you make the grieving process a little bit easier. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;

           Accept that it is going to take time
          &#xD;

           Everyone processes the loses in their life differently. Giving yourself the feeling that it is okay to take as long as you need to process this loss will help you do it more comfortably without any expectations or mental restraints.

           Studies show holding your emotions in is not only harmful to your mental health, but it can actually stunts the process of healing from the loss. Many people find it easier to push those feelings deep down inside but there is actually power talking about the loss.

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;

           Honor them

           Your loved one is gone but you can still do things in the physical world that will honor their memory. You can visit their grave site and bring them flowers, light a special candle dedicated to them or even make a donation in their name to a charity that held a special place in their hearts.

  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;

           Be aware of your behaviors

    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           It can be a hard time emotionally and mentally when someone you love is gone. Make sure to be aware of your own behaviors. If you find yourself doing things in excess that you did not do before, take note, and try to talk to someone to help cope with your current state. It is common for people to look for ways to cope with the loss with drugs, alcohol or other risky decisions. Being aware of how you are handling the situation makes sure you stay in control.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;

           Surround yourself with others

           We realize everyone is different and some people just want space when they leave lose someone they love. However, we have found a great way to deal with these emotions is to surround yourself with the ones you love. They will elevate your energy and be a great support system in your time of need.

  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;

However, one of the biggest challenges we face is figuring out exactly what we want or should be doing with our lives.For some of us, our purpose and passion in life are obvious and clear. We’re born with a set of talents and through persistent practice, we develop our talents into skills and go on to utilize them in our purpose work. For others, the task to identify purpose is not as clear. There are no specific timeframes or ways one comes into their own realization of their purpose, but there are ways you can be more intentional to find your purpose quicker. Below are a few examples of specific ways to help you find your purpose.

           A lot of time the ones we are around can see our purpose a lot clearer than we can ourselves. They see certain characteristics that stick out from our personalities or talents that just seem like second nature to us. A great exercise is to ask the ones around you what they admire about you or what type of work they think you would be great at. They might have additional insight that will be able to help you while working to find your purpose.

           Take a look at who you resonate with. Have you been a member of a certain association? Is there a specific cause that you passionately support? Do you regularly converse with others in a specific Facebook group or Twitter conversation about a particular topic? All of these examples are great ways to find specific topics or areas that your personality has organic interest in. Take a closer look, your purpose might align in these communities.

           One of the most effective ways to find your purpose is to simply sit down and think about the things you enjoy doing. Do you love drawing, singing... maybe even writing? To the naked eye it might seem like those are things you just like doing, but internally your natural skill to be able to do these things well might be your real calling in life. A great way to analyze if you should explore those talents more is if you could see yourself doing that specific thing for years and would be happy doing it. Your purpose work will never actually feel like work.

  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;

           Stop searching

           Some many people get hung up on learning their purpose that it becomes their main focus. Their attention is more fixated on identifying the “meaning of life” than actually living life. Believe it or not, that actually lengthens the process of identifying your purpose because ones purpose is found within the actual life journey. There needs to be real-life experiences, lessons, aha moments and more to really learn where one should be. Try to release control and let the universe show you your real purpose.

           No matter how healthy your relationship is, you’re going to have to have difficult conversations on occasion. How does it feel to check in if you and your partner have a misunderstanding? What about when you have a vulnerable topic to discuss?

  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           If you can share hard things with your partner without worrying how they’ll take it or what it might do to your relationship, you’re likely feeling secure and understood. Sounds like a healthy relationship to us!

           Next, think about your boundaries within the relationship. Every relationship is going to involve boundaries. For example, maybe one person needs more alone time than the other or has different budgeting priorities for the month.

           If you can share these needs and they are heard and respected, that’s a great sign for your relationship.

           Our next sign is a simple one: you enjoy spending time together. This might sound a little too simple, but enjoying quality time together is a signal that you love and respect your partner and that you want to share your life with them.

    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           While you can definitely appreciate your alone time and still have a healthy relationship, enjoying your time together as a couple is a key trait that many positive relationships share.

           If your loved ones understand you well and want the best for your future, their approval likely indicates that they see the same value in your partner that you see.            You Accept You for You

           We know you have heard people refer to the journey of life as a rollercoaster, right?! There are ups and there are downs. There are also good decisions and bad decisions we have made in all of our pasts. The good thing is, each an every single person has a past and the power to move forward from it. There are no benefits in being held hostage in negative memories or the "what if's" of life. Embracing self love and accepting you for you and letting go of the “past you” or choices you have made gives you your power back. You are not her and you don’t live there anymore.            Believe it or not, there are many people looking up to you. Yes, don’t believe us? Start looking around. It might be the teenage girl who lives next-door to you that always looks at you with a shy smile. It could be your parent, watching you grow in awe and seeing you keep making things happen. The point is, keep on doing what you are doing. You truly are motivating others to be all they can be.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

           Simply Because You are You

           This is our most important reason... you are one of a kind. There is not one replica, copy or clone on this Earth. You were made with a specific purpose and that itself needs to be recognized and appreciated. Nobody can be you and that is the beauty in it!

  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;

           Did you know most of our external problems in life can be fixed with self-love? We know, sounds crazy. We also know you are thinking, “How can those problems be fixed just by loving myself?, right?! However there is a secret power in loving yourself. Once you fully accept yourself for who you are (flaws and all) and unconditionally love yourself, the world starts to love you right back. That includes all of the relationships you are in as well. It really starts to change everything around you. Your health, your career, your relationships - they all start to grow in ways you never thought possible.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
           Now, we would love to go on top off a mountain and encourage everyone to start to love themselves more, but we also are realistic and many of us might be intrigued to start but don’t even know how to begin the process!
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
           Well, today is your lucky day. We have put together a quick list full of different exercises that will help you begin the process to love yourself. We know this is something that can be mastered over time. The key to the transformation is to practice a little each day.
           &#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           1. Follow Your Passion
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
           One of the secret ingredients in life to be happy is to embrace what you are passionate about. It can be anything! Taking the time to soul search and learn about the things that matter to you will help you identify your passion ever quicker. Is it animals, art, singing? Whatever you decide will be perfect for you - and that is all that matters!
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           2. Find Your Happy Place
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
           This is one of our favorite tips to start embracing self-love. Do some soul searching and identify a few places that makes you happy. Is it the beach? Is it under a tree with a book? It could even just be snuggled up on your coach with your dog. Once you figure out where your happy place is, go there and go there often. You can even schedule sometime on your calendar to make sure you do. It’s healthy to give yourself time to doing what you love.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           3. Be Okay With Saying No
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
           By nature most of us are people pleasers. We strive to make others happy and sometimes it costs us our very own happiness. We put our ambition and goals on the back burner by doing so. Not any more my friends! It is time to embrace simply saying “no”. Oh, and guess what… there is no explanation needed either. Yep, simply say “no”. The first couple times will be uncomfortable but then the goodness will start to seep in as you realize you just made the best decision for you!
           &#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           4. Say Goodbye to Toxicity
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
           Toxic can come in many shapes and forms. Sometimes it is listening to negative talk from a friend, dealing with jealous outbursts from a spouse or even being belittled by a loved one. We know it hurts to even think about removing these people from your life, but remember… YOU are the priority in this world. Anyone or anything that doesn’t make you happy needs to be removed. The good news? The break doesn’t have to last forever. Try to be as transparent with those individuals about your feelings and the needed space. By doing so, it just might jumpstart their own transformation when looking in the mirror.
           &#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;

           5. Celebrate
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;

           So many of us make goals and when we finally reach them, just move on to the next one. Wait! You worked hard to reach that goal. Big or small, celebrate all of those important milestones. Those wins deserve to be acknowledged and there is nothing wrong with patting yourself on the back for the progress you have made in your life.

           6. Be Grateful

           Self-Love is a journey without time limits. Each individual will practice it in their own way and each person will make strides at their own pace. Take a moment to look at how far you have come and accept where you are going will take time. Even better, make a point to enjoy the journey as you begin to love yourself a little more each day.

Acknowledging how grateful you are for the things in your life (little and big) has been proven to shift an individual's focus. In example, giving more focus to the things that are going right in your life has the power to leave negative energies and experiences behind in the past more easily. Practicing gratitude regularly has the ability to change a person’s perspective, energy and the things they attract into their lives.

    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;

           A great way to begin implementing this practice into your life is to practice gratitude as soon as you wake up.            , suggests by starting to simply say, “thank you” when you sit down to eat or when you are about to have a conversation with someone. Being thankful for the simpler things in life is a great starting point that allows your imagination to expand and helps the act of gratitude become more natural. Soon you will be thinking of handfuls of things to be thankful for. It is like everything in life, the more you practice; the easier it will come. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Another great way to start practicing gratitude is with a Gratitude Journal. You can buy any notebook or journal that you would like and simply start to jot down things you are thankful for every day. Setting aside 3-5 minutes in your morning routine can make a big impact on how your days flow. If you feel like nighttime would be better suited for you, make it a habit to think back throughout your day as you are lying down to go to sleep. Begin to list out the things that you are grateful for in your head or in your journal. Helpful tip: Be sure to add emotion as to why you are grateful. For example, “I am grateful for my eyes, because I can see.” “I am grateful for my legs, because I can walk.” The “because” will connect you with that specific emotion and feeling that you are trying to evoke from practicing gratitude. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;

           In order to gain control of anxiety, it is important to understand what is triggering it to begin with. When those uncomfortable feelings of panic, fear, nervousness and nausea can make a severe impact in a person’s complete mood. Sometimes those feelings are actually nervous to experience but when they are at extreme levels - it could interfere with enjoying things in our daily lives.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
           A great strategy to learn your triggers is to monitor your feelings. When those negative feelings begin to creep up on you take a moment to look at your surroundings. A great idea is to carry a journal with you. This will allow you to document the different occurrences to give you a clearer breakdown of how often and severe these anxious feelings are actually being felt.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
           Below our team has put together a list of common anxiety triggers that many individuals suffer from. This list might help you jumpstart the process of identifying your own triggers. Remember, learning your triggers is empowering you to take control and create coping methods to deal with these emotions in the future.

           1. Finances
          &#xD;

    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
           Financial responsibilities are a common anxiety trigger. Every month we have to balance our checkbooks, review our budgets and pay our bills. We know it isn't the most enjoyable thing to do but it must be done. Since we know this is a frequent occurrence in life - finding a way to cope with this trigger will reduces the amount of anxious feelings greatly.
           &#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
            
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           2. Children’s Performance in School
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
           This past year with COVID-19 has brung on another level of stress for parents than we have ever seen before. Parents now having to fill the shoes of teachers has been no easy task. Not to mention virtual learning, children unable to congregate with their peers… well the list goes on. A common trigger for mom’s and dad’s is worrying about their child’s performance in school. Is their homework done? Did they submit it? Do they need extra help?
           &#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
            
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           3. Away from Family
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
           Our support systems play an important role in our happiness. Having loved ones close by makes our days a lot more pleasurable. When our friends and family move away or we ourselves move we start to feel, well, lonely. This is a very normal and common trigger of anxiety when simply missing our favorite people!

           4. The Future

           The unknown can be scary. Not knowing the outcomes that our decisions will bring can make a lot of people nervous and uncomfortable.

  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           5. Work

           Many people who suffer from anxiety notice this feeling come on as they are pulling into the parking lot at work or signing on their computer in the morning. Their chest starts to feel tight, heart racing… these are sure signs the anxiety is beginning. Taking the tip to look at what is driving those feelings at work will help identify the root of the problem. Is it your boss, a co-worker, the environment? Take a moment to reflect!

           6. Social Settings

           You know that feeling when you are walking into a big party and there are crowds all around you? When you begin to open the door to enter it feels like all eyes are on you? Anxiety is at an all time high - we know. We wish there was a switch that we could simply turn off this feeling for you but at least acknowledging the trigger will allow you to cope with the feeling. Simply suggestion: Entering the next social setting with your spouse or friend will help make you feel a little more comfortable.
           &#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
            
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           7. Dating
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
           Will he/she think I am cute? Where will we meet? What will we talk about? I don't want to eat in front of them! These are all common things people who are dating think about. To the naked eye some of those thoughts seem normal. However, dating can be a very overwhelming experience to others who suffer from anxiety that completely stops them in their tracks from finding their perfect match.
           &#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
            
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           8. Anxiety Itself
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
           Many who have anxiety get anxious feelings just thinking about their anxiety. You are not alone, this is very common. By thinking about anxiety it increases the chances that those uncomfortable feelings such as restlessness, trouble concentrating and difficulty sleeping will start to begin.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
           No matter what your trigger is, preparation is the key antidote to overcome those anxious feelings. Once you identify your triggers the next step is to make a game plan for yourself to go through those certain situations more prepared and comfortable. A great example is if you know social settings gives you anxiety; well make a little list of items you can talk about with other guest while you are in attendance. Preparation is everything!

    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;

           Remember, give yourself time. Overcoming things that have triggered you is going to take patience and dedication but we know you can do it!

Right now, you may feel like there is no light at the end of the tunnel, but we can tell you that there is. Whether you feel guilty about a decision you made or ashamed of something you did in the past, not being able to control your guilt and shame can have major effects in your life. The good thing is that there are many ways to conquer these negative emotions and take control of your life once again. Here are a few tips to get you in a better headspace. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            ﻿

           Knowing the difference: Guilt vs Shame

           It is very important to understand that guilt and shame are not the same. In order to work through negative self-judgements and help you gain a more positive mindset; it is important to know the difference between the two emotions. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Guilt is that negative feeling of regret for something you perceive to be wrong relating to a specific action or offense. The severity of guilt depends on the person and each situation. A common example of guilt is: working too much and not spending enough time with your kids. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           On the other hand, shame is a feeling that you give yourself of being unworthy, insufficient, or not enough of a person. It is often related to your self-esteem and how others perceive you. By understanding the two, you are already taking your first steps in the journey of recognizing how you can make this situation better, and finally putting those feelings behind you. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;h4&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           Understanding Where it Comes From 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/h4&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           The next step in your journey is to gain clarity as to why you may be feeling this way and seeing the kind of impact it has in your life. Sometimes, you will find that your guilt and shame may not be as clear as you think. In order to dig a bit deeper into why you’re feeling these emotions you can ask yourself these questions: 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;ul&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            What do I feel guilty of? 
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            What did I do to feel ashamed? 
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Why do I feel this way? 
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            What do I gain from this feeling? 
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            How does this hold me back from living my life?
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/ul&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Asking these questions should help you gain some clarity and figuring out if what you are feeling makes logical sense. This is different from emotional sense because we know that emotionally the feeling is negative. However, if we remove emotions from the picture, perhaps there is really nothing to be worried about. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;h4&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           Change Your Perspective 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/h4&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           We always say, it all starts with changing your mindset. Perspective is everything and each individual has their own! Instead of feeling guilty and dwelling on the negative energy, shift your perspective to see guilt as an opportunity for you to re-assess and adjust your behavior moving forward. It’s a chance for you to learn from your mistakes and direct your life in a more positive path.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;h4&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           Take Control of your Life 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/h4&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           You don’t have to feel like this dark cloud of guilt and shame is hovering over you anymore. Learn from these experiences, decide what you want in the future and make a plan for yourself so that you don’t make the same mistakes in the future. It may take some time to get in the habit of changing your mindset, and that is okay. Slowly training your mind to have happy and positive thoughts takes time, but with consistency you are sure to get there. These small daily actions are sure ways to help you take control of your life and actually see that light at the end of the tunnel that everyone is talking about.

A famous research study by the University of Minnesota and the University of Florida, had participants write a list of positive things that happened at the end of their day, and why these events made them happy. As a result, this study showed lower stress-levels, and gave participants a greater sense of peace and calmness at night.

    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;

            Set a dedicated time aside during the day that feels right for you
           &#xD;
      &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
             – either 10-15 minutes to write in your journal and reflect. You can even set an alarm or reminder in your calendar to keep yourself accountable. 
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
        
            Nighttime can be a great time to reflect on all the things you are grateful for that day
           &#xD;
      &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
             – You can keep your journal next to your bedside so you can remember to write in it. It can also become a symbolic reminder of appreciation every time you look at it, whether in the morning or at night, you can remember to be grateful every day you look at it.

    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
        
            Jot down as much gratitude as you feel
           &#xD;
      &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
             – That is the beauty of it, you don’t have to set a strict amount. We recommend finding 3-10 things you are grateful for as a good target.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
        
            It doesn’t have to be too deep
           &#xD;
      &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
             – You can simply write about your family, a new show you have been watching, or an opportunity that has presented itself to you.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
        
            Write when it feels right
           &#xD;
      &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
             – Although nighttime is a great time to reflect, you can write whenever it feels best for you. Sometimes, the best things just come naturally at any time in the day.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/ul&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
            
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           In life there is so much to be grateful for and recognizing it is the first step in creating a healthier and more stress-free life. A famous quote by spiritual teacher, Eckhart Tolle once said “Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance”.

  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;

           Gratitude is simply put as showing thanks and appreciation. The simple act of stoping and thinking about all of the great things that you are thankful for can give a pleasantly more positive outlook on life than what normally meets the eye. Practicing gratitude helps people look at their present life more abundantly and minimizes any lacking thoughts.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           The act of practicing gratitude has been scientifically proven to improve lives in many ways, especially around health. Physically, practicing gratitude has been known to increase energy levels, improve sleeping habits and speed up recoveries when feeling sick. Additionally, studies have shown a decrease in the chances of suffering from depression, anxiety and substance abuse disorders. Self-confidence and the way you feel about your own body image has been known to enhance as well. People who consistently practice gratitude are always grateful and full of happiness. They share a sense of pride and hope in their lives and feel much more connected to others. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           It is Easy to Begin
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Getting started with gratitude is a lot easier than one might think. The best way to begin is to select a time of the day that you would like to dedicate to the practice. Keep in mind, you only need a few minutes of your time. By doing this you are already making a mental note when you will be setting time aside in your day to show thanks. Once the timeframe is established, you can select which style of practice is right for you. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Some people ease into the practice by just sitting and thinking of all the things they are thankful for. Others begin to write down those specific things and others take it a step further and document their thanks in a Gratitude Journal. You could even be creative and record a video or audio during your gratitude sessions. The format of the practice doesn’t have to be set in stone. Each person does what works for them. What is important is to remain consistent, practice daily and really take the time to reflect on all the wonderful things in your life.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

           Identifying Things to Be Thankful For
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Some of us are used to focusing on what we are lacking when we have so much wonderful things right in front of us to be thankful for. If you initially have a hard time identifying things to appreciate, take a look around you. Look for the small things that are taken for granted on a daily basis.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
            
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;ul&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Food
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Shelter
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Water
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Oxygen
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Clothes
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Our senses (sight, smell, hearing, listening, etc.)
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Our jobs
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Our health
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/ul&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
            
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           As you can see, this example list can go on and on. These types of things are a great place to start. We really have so much to be thankful for. Once you begin to practice gratitude, your mind will start to realize so many other things that are currently in your life that you can be thankful for. Soon your daily routine of gratitude will be filled with more things than you can think of… and that is the goal. It is time to truly appreciate the abundance of wonderful things we already have in our lives.

  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;

           Start Today

           Like the saying goes by Thomas Jefferson, “Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today”. Take a few minutes out of your day and acknowledge a handful of things you are thankful for.       <title>The Fate Of Limiting Self Beliefs</title>

           Some of you might be familiar with the fable of the chicken farmer and the eagle egg. In this story the chicken farmer found an eagle egg and took it home to hatch on his farm. The eagle eventually hatched and lived among the chickens who resided on the farm. He acted just like they did. The chickens believed he was one of their own and so did he. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           One day the eagle noticed a bird flying high above him in the sky. He was very impressed. “Who is that?” he asked the chickens around him. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           “That’s an eagle, they are the kings of all birds,” the chicken told him. “He belongs to the sky. We belong to the earth, we are just chickens.” 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           The eagle had only been able to fly very short distances like the other chickens. He thought that was what he was supposed to do. So that was all that he thought he could do. As a consequence, that was all he was able to do.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Ultimately the eagle lived his life as a chicken and died as a chicken, for that’s what he thought he was. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Makes you think, right? What thoughts of are own are stopping us from being our best selves? 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Just like the eagle, limiting beliefs can have a number of negative effects on you. They could keep you from making good choices, taking new opportunities, or reaching your potential. Ultimately, limiting beliefs can keep you stuck in a negative state of mind and hinder you from living the life you truly desire. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           It is time to identify which of your thoughts are stunting your growth. Then I want to encourage you today to think like you are an eagle. You might have experienced certain circumstances in life that have made you think in these ways, but now is the time to spread your wings and realize your potential. Opportunities in this life are endless and are in abundance. Your ability to obtain your desires relies on your daily mindset and beliefs.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
            
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           The moral of the story is, don’t live your whole life thinking you’re a chicken. Become what you are truly meant to be, your authentic self. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;

A limiting belief is a state of mind, conviction, or belief that you think to be true that limits you in some way. This limiting belief could be about you, your interactions with other people, or with the world and how it works.

  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;

           This year is officially coming to a close. It is the last week of the year and most will agree that the year 2020 was a bit unique. Society was faced with many challenges and an uncomfortable new normal that we all had to transition into very quickly. However, there were many silver linings along the way. Families were able to spend more time together and the overworked finally got to slow down. Additionally, a lot of people used their “down time” to reflect on what they wanted to achieve in life. Some set their eyes on new careers, others decided to go back to school and some businesses learned to pivot to stay afloat. They all had one thing in common. They all were making goals they wanted to achieve to improve their lives.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Making a goal seems easy, but so many miss the step of actually making a process to achieve the desired outcome. In this article we are going to review ten essential steps to help you obtain your goals in the upcoming year. This outline will help you set and plan your goals by achieving greater clarity and uncovering possible challenges before they arise. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           1. Clearly Specify Your Outcome
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Once you decide on the goal you want to achieve; it is time to take the details of it up a notch. The more specific you are on the outcome you want to achieve, the better. Be clear with your desired outcome. Some great examples of questions to help you find more clarity are:
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
                  - Ask yourself: “ What will I see, hear and feel when I have it?
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
                  - Make your goals compelling and meaningful to you.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
                  - Future pace it: It is now December, 21, 2121 and ...
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
                  - Write out your goal clearly, specifically and in present tense, “I have…, I am… or I do…”
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;

           2. State Your Outcome in a Positive Way

           Be sure to always have a positive outlook on life and the things you desire. Your perspective in life plays a big part on the way you obtain your goals an desired outcomes. Learn to identify what you specifically want as opposed to focusing on what you don’t want. Leave no room for negativity in your mind or around the goals you set.

           3. Specify The Current Situation

           Take a moment to acknowledge where you currently are now in regard to where you want to be in the future. Reflect on past decisions or thoughts that have got you to your present state. Are there things you could do differently in the future to obtain your specific goal?

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;

           4. Take Action
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           A goal is nothing without taking action to achieve it. The next step in bringing your goal to life is identifying actionable items to get you there. A good way to plan your next step is to ask yourself the below:
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           “If I had nothing else but to achieve this goal, what is the very next action I would take?"
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           This question gives you a clearer picture of the immediate steps needed to get you closer to your desired outcome.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           5.  Uncover The Evidence
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Now that you have identified a handful of actionable next steps, it is time to uncover how you will know when your final goal has been achieved? Is it a certain amount of time, weight or money needed to be achieved? Be specific on the exact outcome and keep working towards that vision.

  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           6. Is Your Goal Congruently Desirable?
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Many people have goals and outcomes but they are uncertain about these desires. Take the time to review what the benefits are to you of this specific outcome. Will all the hard work during the process of achieving this goal be worth it? Take this time to reflect on the goal and really decide if this is what you truly want. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           7. Identify Who is Involved
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Take a moment to identify if this goal will be only affecting you or will others benefit as well? If others are involved in achieving this goal, be specific on who is in charge or achieving the end results. The more specific you can be with everyone involved, the better. This ensures everyone knows their role in meeting the set goal.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           8. Contextualize Your Goal
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           I know we have mentioned before about being very clear on your set outcomes. The more detailed you are on these goals the easier it is to identify if the goal is achievable or even really wanted. The following are great questions to help you get more clarity.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           - Where do you want this goal to happen?
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           - When do you want this goal to happen?
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           - How will this goal happen?
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           - With whom do you want to achieve this goal or is it only for you?
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           - Are there drawbacks in any of these contexts?
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           9. Establish Resources
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Make a list of the personal resources you have that will help you achieve this goal. Also, identify the resources that you are missing that will help you achieve your end goal. Be resourceful yourself, do you know others that have achieved the same goal? If so, can you pick their brain to find out how they were successful?
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           A great exercise is to close your eyes and imagine you have already achieved your goal. Think about what resources you needed to get it.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           10. Is It Ecological?
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           This last step is the most overlooked step. Sometimes our initial thoughts to obtain a goal can come from temporary emotions and other external forces. Take the time to decide if your goal: 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
                  - Is good for yourself, others and the planet?
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
                  - What is the real purpose of obtaining this?
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
                  - What will you gain or lose if you have it?
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           In closing, the more questions you ask yourself in the beginning stages of planning out your goal, the more clarity you will receive around obtaining it. Always keep in mind your desired outcome, take the next logical step of action, be flexible and do your best! Lastly, don’t forget to have fun along the way and enjoy the journey as setting goals is not only about the achievement of the goal, but about the person that you become on your way to obtain your goal.

However, it is a common misunderstanding identifying what each professional actually does in their practice.            A Therapist is a licensed professional who has obtained a master’s degree or above in counseling or psychology. They have successfully completed 3,000 hours of supervised practice and have ethical codes that they are required to acknowledge and stand by. They are required to maintain your privacy and confidentiality at all times during the length of your sessions.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;

           Therapists provide therapy, otherwise known as counseling or psychotherapy. These sessions are normally based over a long period of time which allows the client to slowly work through different areas that have been identified in initial assessments. Therapists are healthcare professionals that have the authority to diagnose clients and prescribe prescription medicine. In short, therapy focuses on resolving problems that have occurred in the past and make a goal to create a more positive future.

It is solely up to each specific coach to decide the extent of their training and focus areas. However, many Life Coaches go above and beyond the minimum to be able to serve their clients as best as possible. A lot of Life Coaches come from a familiar place and can relate to their client's needs. Many Life Coaches actually become coaches because they have overcome certain obstacles in their own lives. Experiencing their own transformation commonly ignites their desire to help others do the same. This gives clients that additional benefit by also working with a professional that has personal knowledge and experience in certain areas.

In life coaching, a client works with a coach, who is not a healthcare professional, in order to clarify goals and identify obstacles and problematic behaviors in order to create actionable items to achieve the desired results. The process of life coaching takes the client’s current starting point as an acceptable neutral ground and is more action-based from that point onward. A life coach enables the person receiving treatment to take control of their life and take action to steer it toward their goals in a more positive way.
